Unwanted early rise this morning thanks to the boys. In our faces every 10 minutes from 6.30am until I gave in.

Beautiful autumnal morning for an end of season medal. Not quite good enough today but successful season coming down 2.5 to single figure handicap.

can't complain when the weather lasts the whole of the holiday weekend, still over 15degrees at 6pm at the end of September.  Another cracking day, which meant that we managed to get the last of the summer tidying up things around the house done, grass cut, hedge trimmed, dying plants taken out and the garage cleared out.

All after a trip to meet new nephew and do some conker hunting this morning..

A proper Scottish wedding in a stunning location today.  The Glentanar Ballroom, 15minutes into the hills from Aboyne provided the backdrop, Bahookie provided the dancing music, a modern twist on scottish country dancing.......never would have imagined a Dashing White Sergeant or Gay Gordon's to The Prodigy, Coldplay or The Foo Fighters, but it worked brilliantly.

The Ballroom is decorated with over 600 Antlers mounted within the timber vaulted ceiling.  Sounds a bit macabre, but it's beautiful as a whole.

Morning of golf and afternoon of football at Pittodrie. Golf was ok, football result was better. 

Dons played some nice football but lacked a bit of a killer instinct in front of goal. Good to see the youngsters getting a chance and flying past ageing defenders with ease. Caley weren't all I thought they might be. All brute force and very little skill on show from them. 3rd place in the league this early is not to bad. Good platform to build from.

95 days till Xmas, a little over 1/4 of the year, but still the retailers are getting in early. NEXT xmas directory arrived today. Beware the plastic bashing and thud of credit card bills landing in the doorstep!!!

iOS7 updates on going.  1 done, 2 to go, thankfully the older iPods and iPads are not supported, so stick with tried and trusted operating system.  Might be here a while as the whole world tries to access apple servers to download the update.

Today's role play with Grandma was 'The Art Gallery'. Dozens of masterpieces created and all for sale for £20.  £3 entry fee, but you do get a cake and a juice included in the price.

Wee man even had a till with credit card machine for those without cash!

Weather didn't turn out as wet as forecast so we managed a wee ride out on the bikes.  New play area at  recently refurbishment and restored Duthie Park the destination of choice for 3-1/2 year old.

Today's taxi service/football run saw us the 40miles up the coast to Peterhead.  All good on the football front as usual.

Quick detour on the way back home to have a look at Trump International Golf course.  No matter what anyone thinks of the man, the arrogance and the concept, you couldn't fail to be in awe of the place that they have created.  Ooozes class from the rough meadow grass to the pristine cut greens. Wouldn't mind living in this wee pile of stone with manicured front lawn.

Very lucky with the weather this afternoon.  Was forecast for showers and for an hour looked like we were going to get soaked, but turned out to be a beautiful afternoon and early evening at the picturesque setting of Meldrum House Golf Club.  Happy to report that the standard of golf just about lived up to the weather...just about...
