Another beautiful Saturday morning for winter golf. Another victory under our belts (by the skin of our teeth) maintains an unbeaten 7 game streak for the winter season title defence.

A busy weekend finished off with Westdyke trophy day and another sports village 4x4 festival.

Trophies all round for the boys and an unbeaten afternoon on the pitch = happy no.1 son...(with more than a few goals to boot)

Looking at the calendar, looks like silly season has started and it's 2014 before we can have a quiet one.

Red paint not covering the old blue too well, thank goodness we started painting today and not tomorrow.

Operation garage clean up part 1 complete. Didn't expect it to take 2 evenings but another few hours should see it done. Car boot full of rubbish for the tip and new bike hooks installed, but to be re-positioned after forgetting to take into account the swing of the garage door, oops...

Looks bright and warm, but wasn't so in reality. Temperature struggled to even get close to 10degrees today after a heavy frost overnight. Suspect this is just the start of a heavy winter to come.

Can never be bothered with the traffic gridlock in heading to the City's firework display, so it's sparklers in the garden and searching the sky for fireworks from a darkened bedroom window.
